Andrew welcomes an announcement that the government is providing extra funding for electric vehicle charging points in North Lincolnshire.
Andrew explains, "North Lincs Council has been awarded £925,000 Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) capital funding to support charging infrastructure, which is in addition to £323,000 of LEVI capability funding that has already been approved.
"This will help to significantly scale up delivery of chargepoints and help residents without off-street parking to switch to electric vehicles. Moreover, the LEVI Capability Fund provides local authorities with funding for dedicated in-house expertise to deliver chargepoints.
"With nearly 57,000 public charging devices available in the UK, an increase of 47% since this time last year, initiatives like this will help achieve the goal to reach 300,000 chargepoints across the country by 2030.""
